ARTISTS AND SPORTSMEN VISA - VITEM III
Who is eligible:
- professional artists,
- musicians,
- sportsmen,
- and all accompanying technicians/assistants..
Procedures:
- the sponsor or promoter of the event must submit application to the Ministry of Labor in Brazil at the following address:

- once the Ministry of Labor in Brazil approves the work contract, the Ministry of External Relations will authorize the Consulate to process the Visa.
Documents to be submitted to the Consulate after the approval:
- one visa application form, filled out, dated and signed by the applicant. Parents must sign for those under 18 years old;

- a passport valid for a minimum of six months from the date of intended arrival in Brazil, with at least two blank pages available;
- a copy of the Japan Alien Resident Card (Gaikokujin Touroku-Shomei) for foreign residents and/or a valid visa or document to return from Brazil (to Japan or another country);
- one recent 5 x 7cm photo, front view, white background. Snapshots and computer pictures are not accepted;
- the original birth certificate for minors under 18 years of age and a copy. Copies presented without the original must be notarized. Minors need also a letter of consent, signed by both parents, and legalized by a notary public. The Consulate will legalize the signature of the notary public. ¥2.800 fee will be charged.
The Consulate may request additional information and documentation, as deemed necessary.
Consular fees:
- ¥5.600 for the visa.
- in addition to the amounts indicated above, a processing fee of ¥14.000 will be charged to all US passport holders, in reciprocity for an identical fee paid by Brazilian citizens who apply for visas to the USA;
- an additional absent fee of ¥1.400 will be charged for any application not submitted in person by the applicant or by his/her immediate family.
